Job Description
NeoWork is currently seeking a proactive and organized Virtual Medical Assistant to join our growing team. As a Virtual Medical Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to healthcare professionals, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality patient care.
At NeoWork, we believe in leveraging technology to enhance healthcare services. In this role, you will assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, handling communications, and performing various administrative tasks that contribute to efficient healthcare delivery.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and is comfortable using digital tools to collaborate with healthcare providers and patients. The ideal candidate should have experience in a medical office setting and possess a solid understanding of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups
- Assist in maintaining and organizing patient records and documents
- Handle inbound and outbound communications with patients and healthcare professionals
- Prepare and send patient reminders and educational materials
- Support billing and coding processes, as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers as needed
- Assist with other tasks and projects as required
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare-related role
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using medical software and digital communication tools (Hubspot)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Owned computer or laptop and stable internet connectivity.
- Knowledgeable in Office 360, Google Apps, and client-facing communication.
