Job Description
The Video Editor will support client's digital advertising initiatives, with a primary focus on producing high-performing video content for paid social platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram. This role is suited to a creative and technically skilled editor with experience in eCommerce advertising. The successful candidate will be able to replicate and adapt existing advertising styles, demonstrate strong short-form storytelling capability, and work efficiently within defined briefs and timelines.
- Edit short-form video advertisements for paid social platforms, primarily Facebook and Instagram.
- Replicate and adapt existing advertising styles using provided reference materials and creative direction.
- Produce engaging, high-quality video content optimised for eCommerce performance.
- Work with raw video files to create polished, ad-ready outputs within agreed timeframes.
- Apply strong visual storytelling, pacing, transitions, and editing techniques to maximise engagement.
- Ensure video outputs align with brand guidelines, creative standards, and campaign objectives.
- Implement feedback and revisions efficiently as part of an iterative creative process.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines within agreed weekly hours.
- Communicate progress, questions, and delivery timelines clearly with relevant stakeholders.
- Other position-level duties as they arise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Film, Digital Media, Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience editing video advertisements for eCommerce brands, particularly for Facebook and Instagram.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating paid social or performance-driven video content.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent tools.
- Ability to replicate an existing ad style while adapting content creatively to new footage.
- Strong understanding of short-form video formats, hooks, and audience engagement principles.
- High attention to detail and strong visual judgement.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Open to part-time engagement with potential to increase hours as the role evolves.
