Job Description
- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a US Tax Producer based in United States. This is a creative opportunity for an accounting professional to turn technical U.S. tax expertise into engaging, high-quality professional education. You’ll help shape a tax-focused learning curriculum designed for CPA and accounting professionals across North America. The role combines tax research, content development, expert relationship management, interviewing, and podcast production. You’ll work closely with senior accounting and finance professionals to transform complex topics into practical, accessible conversations. With multiple episodes in progress at once, you’ll have meaningful ownership over topics, guests, workflows, and final content quality. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys communicating, learning, experimenting, and bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to a fast-growing environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to expand your professional network and build a strong presence within the CPA community.
- Accountabilities: Develop tax content: Research, evaluate, and pitch U.S. and Canadian tax topics aligned with the broader learning curriculum, balancing technical depth, audience relevance, and accessibility. Shape episodes: Scope and structure episodes so complex tax concepts can be communicated clearly, accurately, and engagingly to accounting and finance professionals. Identify and coordinate experts: Research appropriate subject matter experts, conduct outreach, manage scheduling, and collaborate with guests to prepare compelling episodes. Prepare interviews: Develop foundational research, interview briefs, questions, and preparation materials to support productive conversations. Host expert conversations: Lead interviews with senior accounting and finance professionals, guiding discussions toward practical, educational, and engaging outcomes. Review and refine content: Review raw recordings, make content-level edits, and ensure the final material meets high standards for accuracy, clarity, and usefulness. Create supporting materials: Write episode descriptions, quiz questions, glossary terms, visual aids, and other educational assets that reinforce the learning experience. Manage multiple workflows: Coordinate several podcasts and stakeholders simultaneously while maintaining accurate project tracking, timelines, and priorities. Improve processes: Experiment with new approaches, provide constructive feedback, anticipate potential challenges, and contribute ideas that improve content development and production. Requirements: Accounting qualification: Recognized accounting designation such as CPA, CA, or equivalent. U.S. tax experience: 3–5 years of U.S. tax experience, ideally gained in public accounting, with exposure to areas such as C corporations, flow-through entities, individuals, estates, trusts, and gifts. Tax communication: Strong ability to explain technical tax concepts in a clear, accessible, and engaging way, with the curiosity and research skills to quickly develop knowledge of unfamiliar topics. Critical thinking: Strong judgment when determining which topics are valuable to the audience and how complex information should best be presented. Content mindset: Genuine enthusiasm for tax, professional education, storytelling, and creating content that is both technically accurate and enjoyable. Collaboration: Comfortable working with hosts, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders while balancing different schedules, perspectives, and priorities. Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain reliable workflows and project-tracking systems. Quality focus: Strong attention to factual accuracy and the ability to translate technical expertise into digestible professional learning content. Proactivity: Self-directed and comfortable identifying potential issues, taking initiative, and suggesting better ways of working. Adaptability: Willingness to experiment with new processes and operate effectively in a rapidly evolving environment. Location: Remote U.S.-based candidates are eligible in NY, FL, SC, IL, and MT, as well as candidates based in Canada. Production experience: Prior podcast or audio production experience is not required; training is provided throughout the content creation process. Benefits: Salary: Expected base salary of USD $85,000–$92,000, depending on location, market conditions, skills, and experience. Health benefits: Health coverage available after three months, including an annual health spending account. Employee support: Access to an Employee Assistance Program. Remote flexibility: Fully remote work for eligible candidates outside the Toronto/GTA area. Flexible schedule: Flexibility to accommodate personal appointments, family responsibilities, and other needs during the workday. Global remote work: Nomad policy allowing employees to work remotely from anywhere in the world for up to four weeks per year. Team culture: Regular team social events, community activities, and opportunities to connect with colleagues. Learning opportunities: Access to professional development content covering accounting, leadership, soft skills, career development, and more. Employee clubs: Opportunity to join an existing employee club or create a new one around shared interests.
