Technical Solutions Specialist (Healthcare)
Isla • Ireland
Posted: August 17, 2026
Job Description
💷 Salary: €40,000 - €65,000
🕙 Role details: This is a full time role (40 hours per week)
🌍 Location: Ireland - Remote
We are a hybrid team, based throughout the UK and Ireland. For this role you must be able to work and live permanently within the Republic of Ireland, and travel to London at least 4 times a year for team meeting sessions and additionally as needed. #LI-Remote
The role
We're looking for a Technical Solutions Specialist to turn clinical requirements into working digital pathways. This is a hands-on, client-centric role for someone who can move fluidly between a client's clinical workflow, a delivery team's project plan, and the technical realities of our platform.
You'll own the design and setup of standard and bespoke integrations, and you'll be the person who takes a clinical pathway requirement and architects it into Isla's digital pathways using our advanced nodes infrastructure. You'll work daily with client delivery, product, and engineering teams, and you'll be the voice of the client inside Isla, framed by our tech stack’s capabilities.
This is not a software engineering role. You won't spend your day building product features or writing production code. Instead, you'll become an expert in Isla's platform and use that knowledge to configure solutions, work with structured data and integrations, troubleshoot technical problems, and translate real clinical workflows into effective digital pathways.
One day you might be working with a NHS or HSE team to understand how data needs to flow between their systems and Isla; the next, configuring a complex clinical pathway, testing an integration, or working with our engineers to solve a technical constraint.
We're looking for someone who is technically confident and enjoys understanding how systems work, but who is equally motivated by solving client problems and making technology work in the real world.
What you'll do
Integrations & data
- Design, test, and configure standard and bespoke integrations that bring client data into Isla's platform
- Liaise directly with clients to scope integration requirements, translating their systems, data formats, and constraints into a clear technical plan
- Map and transform incoming data so it correctly powers Isla's digital pathways, ensuring clinical and operational logic is preserved
- Own the integration lifecycle end-to-end: discovery, testing, go-live, and handover, as well as ongoing support for our delivery team
Pathway architecture
- Own the work of mapping clinical pathway requirements, worked through with our client delivery team, into Isla's digital pathways solution
- Build out digital pathways using our advanced nodes infrastructure, configuring the automations and interactions that deliver real outcomes to clinical teams
- Design pathways that are robust, maintainable, and faithful to the clinical intent behind them, not just technically functional
Product & client understanding
- Develop a deep understanding of client use cases so integration decisions serve the actual clinical or operational workflow, not just the data spec
- Act as a trusted technical point of contact for clients during onboarding and beyond; you’ll be comfortable running calls, asking the right scoping questions, and explaining technical tradeoffs in plain language
- Feed insights from client conversations back into the product and engineering roadmap
Cross-team collaboration
- Work directly with product, engineering, and delivery teams as the technical throughline across a client engagement
- Be the voice of the client internally, representing their constraints, priorities, and clinical context in product and engineering conversations
- Hold a deep understanding of Isla's technical capabilities so you can proactively match client need to the right solution, rather than just responding to requests
You might currently work in technical implementation, solutions consulting, professional services, clinical systems, health-tech implementation, application support, systems analysis or another technically hands-on client-facing role.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience configuring or implementing software solutions against client or business requirements
- Confidence working with structured data, APIs, integrations and workflow or automation tools
- Experience translating requirements into a working technical configuration or solution
- Strong troubleshooting skills and curiosity about how systems work
- Confidence working directly with clients and asking detailed technical and operational questions
- The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to people who aren't engineers
- A product mindset: you want to understand why someone needs something, rather than simply implementing what they've asked for
- Comfort working across several client implementations at once
- Experience in health-tech, healthcare IT, clinical systems, EPRs, digital transformation or another regulated/data-sensitive environment would be particularly valuable
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, integration engines, low-code/no-code platforms, workflow builders or clinical system configuration would also be useful, but we don't expect you to have worked with all of them
