Job Description
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Tax Manager (Level 1) for an elite Public Accounting Firm specializing in High-Net-Worth individuals and complex Real Estate partnerships.
This is a premier opportunity for a high-performing CPA to manage a sophisticated portfolio of commercial and residential real estate clients. Unlike traditional "Big 4" roles, this position offers a "career upgrade" by combining one of the highest base salaries in the industry ($225k+) with one of the lowest billable hour requirements (1,550). The firm operates with a "partnership-track" mindset, offering aggressive profit-sharing on originated clients and a compressed workweek schedule that prioritizes genuine work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities
- Partnership Tax Management: Manage and review high-complexity Partnership Tax Returns (Form 1065), focusing on multi-tiered entities and special partnership structures.
- Real Estate Specialization: Serve as the primary technical advisor for owners and operators of malls, retail centers, office buildings, and large-scale apartment complexes.
- Technical Research: Conduct deep-dive tax research to ensure compliance with evolving federal and state real estate tax laws and complex partner allocations.
- Staff Mentorship: Direct the development of junior staff members, providing technical training and career guidance to build the firm's internal talent pipeline.
- Business Development: Support firm growth initiatives; benefit from an industry-leading 50% profit-sharing model on all originated client revenue.
- Client Advisory: Work directly with HNW principals to navigate complex tax implications of real estate acquisitions, holdings, and divestitures.
Education & Licensing
- Active CPA License is REQUIRED (or proof of all exam parts passed).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting from a top-tier university (e.g., UF, FSU, UM).
- Minimum 3.4 GPA preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Tax Manager is REQUIRED.
- Previous tenure within a Big 4 or Top 100 CPA firm is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated mastery of Partnership Taxation and complex real estate tax structures.
Residency Requirement
- Must reside in South Florida and live within 45 minutes of the Las Olas office (Fort Lauderdale area) for occasional in-person mentoring lunches and strategic meetings.
