Job Description
Supply Chain Operations Manager
Job Type: Part-Time
Location: 100% Remote
About the Role
We're looking for a senior operations and supply chain resource to own logistics, procurement, and continuous improvement across our operations.
This is not a task-based coordination role. I’m looking for someone who can operate with a high level of ownership, identify gaps, and improve how we run.
Core responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day logistics and 3PL coordination, including scheduling, shipment tracking, and issue resolution
- Manage procurement workflows end-to-end, including PO creation, vendor follow-ups, and ensuring on time delivery
- Proactively identify risks across supply chain and escalate with proposed solutions, not just problems
- Build and maintain trackers, but also improve them over time to increase visibility and efficiency
- Lead operational improvements. This includes refining processes, reducing delays, and identifying cost or service level opportunities
- Support sourcing and onboarding of new logistics or trucking partners through research, outreach, and coordination
- Own month end inventory reconciliation across 3PLs and internal records, including investigating discrepancies and ensuring alignment with accounting
What success looks like:
- Things do not need to be chased because you are already on top of them
- Issues are flagged early with clear recommendations
- Processes improve over time without being explicitly assigned
- Inventory and operational data are accurate and reliable at month end
- The operation becomes more organized and predictable because of your work
Requirements:
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with operational data
- Experience with ERP systems. Odoo experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal English. You will be communicating directly with vendors and 3PLs, including calls when needed
- Highly proactive with strong ownership mentality
- Able to operate independently and make decisions within defined boundaries
