  • This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer (DevEx) in the United States. This role is a high-impact, cross-functional engineering leadership position focused on transforming how software is built, tested, and delivered across large-scale engineering organizations. You will shape developer experience strategy by reducing friction in the software development lifecycle through automation, platform engineering, and CI/CD modernization. Working across engineering, product, security, and SRE teams, you will design systems that enable faster, safer, and more reliable software delivery. The role blends hands-on engineering with technical influence, requiring strong architectural thinking and the ability to drive adoption without formal authority. You will act as a key driver of engineering productivity, improving build systems, deployment workflows, and developer onboarding experiences. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving systemic engineering challenges and enabling hundreds of developers through scalable tooling and thoughtful platform design.
  • Accountabilities: Design, build, and maintain developer experience platforms, automation tools, and shared engineering systems that streamline the SDLC. Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines, build systems, deployment automation, and reusable engineering templates. Define and promote engineering standards, patterns, and best practices across multiple teams to ensure consistency and scalability. Partner with engineering, product, security, and SRE teams to identify friction points and implement high-impact technical solutions. Monitor and improve key engineering performance metrics such as build reliability, deployment success rates, and cycle times. Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership, guiding teams on DevEx, automation, and platform engineering practices. Drive long-term architectural strategy for developer platforms and anticipate future scalability and infrastructure needs. Requirements: 7+ years of software engineering experience, including strong expertise in NodeJS, React, and C# .NET. Proven experience operating at Staff or Lead Engineer level with ownership of large-scale technical systems. Strong background in CI/CD systems, build automation, deployment pipelines, and cloud-based infrastructure. Deep understanding of software architecture and distributed engineering systems across teams. Experience with cloud platforms and services (Azure experience is a plus). Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams without formal authority. Demonstrated ability to improve developer productivity, engineering velocity, and system reliability at scale. Strong mentoring mindset and ability to guide engineering teams through complex technical challenges.
