Position Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting functions across a diverse client base. This role will be involved in month end close activities, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance, while also assisting with day- to-day transactional accounting.
This is a fully remote position with a consistent workflow and clear expectations, offering the opportunity to develop strong technical accounting skills within a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Assist with month end and year end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense tracking
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Support audit and tax preparation by providing required schedules and documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
