Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product and Design teams to deliver a robust, single fault tolerant architecture
  • Create operation models and run simulations to ensure optimal component sizing and specifications for electrical and thermal systems
  • Conduct DFMEA to identify design gaps and propose solutions
  • Own design trade-offs and cost analyses to guide engineering decisions
  • Build a team to own and deliver detailed requirements for Design teams

Qualifications

  • Technical degree (PhD preferred) or equivalent industry experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics design
  • Architected a high volume (100k+ units) product
  • Proficient with simulation tools such as MATLAB Simulink, PSCAD
  • Strong understanding of fundamental physics including electrical, mechanical, and thermodynamics
  • Able to use scripting languages to create and test models
  • Experience working in the Energy sector preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% including internationally
