Job Description
Responsibilities
- Work with the Product and Design teams to deliver a robust, single fault tolerant architecture
- Create operation models and run simulations to ensure optimal component sizing and specifications for electrical and thermal systems
- Conduct DFMEA to identify design gaps and propose solutions
- Own design trade-offs and cost analyses to guide engineering decisions
- Build a team to own and deliver detailed requirements for Design teams
Qualifications
- Technical degree (PhD preferred) or equivalent industry experience in Electrical Engineering or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics design
- Architected a high volume (100k+ units) product
- Proficient with simulation tools such as MATLAB Simulink, PSCAD
- Strong understanding of fundamental physics including electrical, mechanical, and thermodynamics
- Able to use scripting languages to create and test models
- Experience working in the Energy sector preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% including internationally
