  • An exciting opportunity to lead VAT planning work in the DACH region. This role focuses on advisory and planning acting as support to colleagues in Compliance. This role reports to the VAT Planning director and must be DE based, preference is Munich but Berlin is possible. Although the role is based in DE, there is likely to be regular travel to various EU locations such as London and Luxembourg. Key job responsibilities The role will focus on: - Response to legislative change in the region and managing tax authority relationships and audits. - In addition, the role will partner closely with the business leaders as well as senior personnel in tax partner teams such as Accounting, Finance and Legal. - There will be primary responsibility for local VAT matters in the countries, but extensive involvement supporting the Pan EU portfolio including business launches and expansions.
Basic Qualifications
  • - Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field, or experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients - Speak, write, and read fluently in German - Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Significant experience (at least 10 years) specifically dealing with DE VAT and indirect taxes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • - A professional tax/accountancy qualification or relevant law degree.
