Job Description
The Opportunity
UserWise is developing the next evolution of the Fruit Ninja universe: an ambitious new sequel that brings a fresh perspective to the legendary mobile hit.
We are looking for a Senior UX Designer to architect the player journey from the ground up. You will be the bridge between abstract gameplay ideas and a tangible, intuitive interface. As a senior member of the team, you won’t just be drawing boxes; you will be defining the systems and interaction patterns that make our game feel seamless and satisfying. You will work alongside a team that values high-quality execution and iterative design, moving from early prototypes to a polished, global launch.
If you are a systems-thinker who loves the challenge of simplifying complex F2P mechanics into elegant user flows, this role offers the autonomy and creative runway to shape the core experience of a major IP.
Location
Remote - open to all EU locations
Type
Full time
What You’ll Do
- Experience Architecture: Translate gameplay concepts and product requirements into comprehensive user flows, wireframes, and interactive mockups that prioritize player intent.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Game Designers and Product Managers to define the "why" behind every feature, ensuring UX goals align with business and design objectives.
- Systemic Design: Create and maintain cohesive interaction patterns and UX systems used across the entire game to ensure a unified and predictable player experience.
- Documentation & Specs: Deliver UX specifications and documentation that empower artists and engineers to build features with minimal friction.
- Insight-Driven Iteration: Lead playtesting sessions and transform raw player data or feedback into actionable UX improvements.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Take full ownership of your project’s UX vision while providing guidance, design reviews, and mentorship to more junior team members.
- Feedback Integration: Collect and prioritize feedback from stakeholders, collaborating with production to decide which UX refinements will have the highest impact on the player.
- 5+ years of experience in UX design for mobile games, with at least one shipped F2P title.
- Mastery of UX Tools: You are an expert in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools for wireframing and prototyping.
- Player-Centric Mindset: A deep understanding of mobile player behavior, ergonomics, and the psychological triggers of F2P games.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to look beyond a single screen and understand how features interconnect across the entire product ecosystem.
- Communication & Influence: Strong ability to articulate design logic to stakeholders and a "self-starter" mentality suited for a fully remote environment.
- English is the primary working language; candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English
Bonus Points
- Visual UI Design: A strong eye for visual hierarchy and the ability to create high-fidelity UI mockups.
- Unity Knowledge: Ability to review and polish designs in Unity is a plus.
