At UpDoc, we are building the first clinically validated, physician-supervised AI agent that manages chronic diseases. We are an early-stage startup founded by Stanford physicians.
We are seeking a talented and motivated senior product designer to join our team.
This is a fully remote position.

You're a product designer first. You love solving user problems, not just designing interfaces. You combine strong product intuition with exceptional craft and know how to simplify complex workflows into experiences that feel effortless.
You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, asking thoughtful questions, and exploring multiple paths before committing to the right solution. You care deeply about quality but understand when to move quickly, when to polish, and how to make thoughtful tradeoffs.
You thrive in close partnership with Product and Engineering, communicate clearly in both meetings and async discussions, and enjoy making the people around you better through collaboration and thoughtful feedback.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with Product, Engineering and leadership to shape product direction and deliver end-to-end customer experiences—from discovery through launch, with no handoffs.
Own features from initial concepts to shipped product, balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
Create polished designs that clearly communicate ideas and accelerate decision-making.
Prototype in code with AI coding tools.
Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability across the product.
Design with accessibility as a core quality standard, not a final checklist.
Raise the quality bar through design critiques, cross-functional collaboration, and thoughtful feedback.
Identify opportunities to improve existing experiences, whether that's rethinking major workflows or fixing small moments of friction.
What You'll Need
5+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally in SaaS or other complex software products.
Strong product thinking with the ability to distill ambiguous problems into simple, intuitive solutions.
Excellent visual, interaction, and UX design skills, with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product ownership.
Experience partnering closely with engineers and cross functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Strong prototyping skills and the ability to communicate ideas through interactive experiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating effectively in asynchronous environments.
A self-directed approach—you can set direction, manage your time, and drive projects forward with minimal oversight.
Highly Desired
Experience designing B2B or enterprise software.
Experience building and maintaining design systems.
Strong systems thinking and the ability to design across interconnected workflows.
Exceptional attention to detail across typography, spacing, hierarchy, interaction, and visual polish.
Experience incorporating AI tools into your design workflow as a force multiplier.
An ownership mindset—you proactively identify opportunities, think beyond your assigned work, and take responsibility for product outcomes.
Experience mentoring designers or helping elevate design quality through critique and collaboration.
