Job Description

You'll own the full HR operations lifecycle, onboarding, compliance, conduct management, employee engagement, and employee transitions. This is a highly operational role that plays a critical part in ensuring the organization scales in a structured, compliant, and people-centric manner. From onboarding and employee relations to compliance and operational excellence, you'll help build and maintain the processes, standards, and employee experience that support a high-performing workplace.

What you'll do:

  • Onboarding & Employee Operations: Process inductions, coordinate system access (email, internal tools, compliance systems), run training programs, and ensure new hires are fully operational from day one. You'll help create a seamless onboarding experience and ensure operational readiness across teams.

  • Offboarding & Compliance: Own exit workflows, conduct exit interviews, document feedback, and ensure statutory compliance.

  • Conduct & Performance Management: Handle the full lifecycle, grievance intake, investigations, disciplinary meetings, and employee separations. You'll need sound judgment, empathy, and the ability to manage difficult conversations with clarity and fairness.

  • Employee Engagement: Design and run employee engagement initiatives including team events, recognition programs, pulse surveys, and all-hands support to help maintain a strong and connected culture.

  • Manager Support: Partner with managers on performance feedback, compensation conversations, employee concerns, and conflict de-escalation. You'll be their go-to partner for HR guidance and policy interpretation.

  • Systems & Compliance: Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, ensure policy adherence, and manage statutory compliance including labor law requirements, tax documentation, EPF/ESI, leave policies, and related processes. You'll also support cross-functional coordination during critical compliance windows and operational reviews.

What you'll bring (must-haves)

  • 3–5 years in HR Operations — you've managed onboarding/offboarding processes, handled conduct cases from intake to resolution, and worked extensively with HRIS platforms. This is a hands-on operational HR role, not a general HR consulting position.

  • Compliance & legal judgment: You understand India labor laws and know when to escalate sensitive matters appropriately. You've handled confidential employee situations with professionalism and discretion.

  • Skill in difficult conversations: You can deliver feedback effectively, investigate complaints fairly while maintaining confidentiality, and manage sensitive employee discussions with clarity and respect.

  • HRIS & systems fluency: You're comfortable with different tools and understand the importance of accurate documentation and data management.

  • Attention to detail: Employment letters, and compliance records must be accurate and defensible. You have strong documentation discipline and operational rigor.

Nice to haves

  • MBA in HR or SHRM certification

  • Experience in tech, fintech, or compliance heavy industries

  • Familiarity with India statutory compliance (EPF, ESI, gratuity, statutory leave rules)

  • Prior experience supporting distributed or remote-heavy teams

Work Location

This is a full-time, in-office role based out of our Gurgaon office. Candidates should be comfortable working in rotational shifts to support operational and compliance requirements across teams and time zones.
