- Accountabilities: Lead the development of advanced machine learning and AI-driven ranking and recommendation systems that enhance personalization, engagement, and business growth. Oversee the full lifecycle of model development, including ideation, experimentation, training, validation, deployment, and monitoring in production. Guide and mentor a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and accountability. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions. Manage prioritization of algorithmic initiatives, balancing technical complexity, timelines, and business impact. Establish and promote best practices in coding standards, experimentation, data management, and AI-assisted development workflows. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning models, with strong exposure to recommendation systems or deep learning applications. 2+ years of experience in people management, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop technical teams. Strong programming skills in Python with experience in production-grade code development and review. Experience with A/B testing frameworks, experimentation design, and performance evaluation metrics. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and large-scale data processing environments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
