Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to contribute to the development of high-load, business-critical backend systems within the betting domain. This role requires strong hands-on Go expertise, a deep understanding of backend engineering principles, and the ability to work with complex distributed environments where performance, reliability, and data integrity are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve scalable backend services in Go, focusing on system performance, stability, and maintainable engineering solutions

  • Contribute to key technical decisions around application architecture, infrastructure, and the long-term evolution of backend systems

  • Develop clean, well-structured, and testable code while maintaining strong documentation and engineering standards

  • Participate in peer code reviews, providing technical feedback and helping maintain consistent development practices across the team

  • Work with complex data flows and backend components, ensuring reliable processing and high standards of data integrity

  • Collaborate with other engineers throughout the development lifecycle, contributing to technical discussions, estimation, planning, and delivery within a Scrum environment

  • Take ownership of assigned development activities and independently organize day-to-day work in line with broader team priorities

Requirements

  • Strong senior-level engineering background with 7+ years in commercial software development, including 4+ recent years focused primarily on Go

  • Proven track record of building backend solutions specifically for betting products — relevant industry experience is essential for this role

  • Advanced knowledge of how Go works under the hood, with confidence working with concurrency, data structures, memory allocation, and garbage collection

  • Solid database engineering skills, including extensive work with relational databases and the ability to troubleshoot, tune, and improve sophisticated SQL queries

  • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments, with practical knowledge of containerization using Docker

  • Production experience with Kafka and Kubernetes as part of modern backend infrastructure

  • Quality-focused engineering approach, with the ability to design code for testability and maintain reliable unit test coverage

  • Intermediate English combined with Upper-Intermediate Russian for effective day-to-day communication

Would be a plus

  • Background in financial, transactional, or similarly data-sensitive systems, where accuracy and consistency of information are business-critical

  • Experience designing or contributing to distributed, microservice-based systems

  • Knowledge of architectural practices such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, or Hexagonal Architecture

  • Previous hands-on work with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse

What's in it for you

  • Private health insurance and sports-related benefits

  • Paid time off and maternity leave support

  • Free language courses

  • Professional development through upskilling opportunities, internal workshops, and participation in industry conferences

  • Referral program with additional rewards

  • Access to professional networking opportunities and corporate events
