Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Client Strategy (Senior Media Director) based in United States. This is a senior strategic leadership role responsible for shaping growth across a portfolio of complex, enterprise-level client relationships. You will connect business objectives with integrated, full-funnel marketing strategies spanning paid media, analytics, creative, and emerging channels. The role combines executive-level client leadership with ownership of account health, revenue growth, retention, profitability, and delivery quality. You’ll translate business goals, KPIs, and unit economics into sophisticated media investment and measurement frameworks. You’ll also lead testing and innovation agendas, helping clients adapt to evolving platforms, technologies, and consumer behaviors. Internally, you’ll mentor high-performing strategy teams and bring greater rigor to planning, storytelling, and cross-functional execution. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced media and marketing leader who can balance strategic vision, commercial ownership, and operational excellence.
- Accountabilities: Strategic Account Leadership: Serve as the executive strategic lead and primary business owner across a portfolio of complex enterprise accounts, translating client objectives and growth ambitions into integrated marketing strategies. Full-Funnel Media Strategy: Design and guide multi-channel strategies across Paid Search, Social, Programmatic, Video, CTV, YouTube, Retail Media, and emerging platforms, ensuring channel execution ladders back to holistic business goals. Business & Financial Ownership: Translate KPIs, unit economics, and growth objectives into media investment frameworks and budget allocations while overseeing forecasting, revenue management, profitability, retention, and overall account health. Executive Client Engagement: Lead high-level client relationships, including QBRs, annual planning sessions, strategic presentations, and other high-stakes conversations with senior stakeholders. Growth & Expansion: Identify opportunities to increase client value, drive same-store growth, and expand relationships while partnering with Business Development on new opportunities and commercial initiatives. Measurement & Analytics: Partner with Analytics teams to operationalize advanced measurement approaches, including multi-touch attribution, media mix modeling, incrementality testing, and other performance frameworks. Testing & Innovation: Develop structured test-and-learn roadmaps that generate performance improvements, validate investment decisions, and identify opportunities for future-ready innovation. Cross-Functional Integration: Connect media, analytics, creative, channel specialists, and client leadership to ensure cohesive execution and consistent alignment with overarching strategy. Quality & Delivery: Ensure strategic deliverables meet high standards, align with contractual scopes of work, and generate measurable business impact. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop Client Strategy professionals, fostering accountability, continuous growth, collaboration, and high performance. Strategic Excellence: Elevate internal planning processes, strategic storytelling, and operational rigor while staying current on industry trends, emerging platforms, and technology shifts. Requirements: Experience: 10+ years of experience in media, marketing strategy, integrated marketing, or client leadership, including significant experience managing complex, multi-channel accounts. People Leadership: 4+ years of experience managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams. Integrated Strategy: Demonstrated ability to own full-funnel strategy across multiple media channels and translate business objectives into integrated media, creative, and data strategies. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budget forecasting, revenue management, profitability, investment planning, and commercial account management. Executive Communication: Proven ability to lead executive-level client conversations, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex strategic concepts through clear, compelling narratives. Measurement Expertise: Deep knowledge of attribution, incrementality testing, media mix modeling, and other advanced marketing measurement frameworks. Leadership & Organization: Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities, with the ability to balance long-term strategic vision with operational execution and multiple competing priorities. Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and turn insights into clear, actionable recommendations. Agency Experience: Experience working in an agency environment supporting enterprise or high-growth brands is preferred. Additional Expertise: Exposure to retail or commerce media, performance creative, advanced analytics platforms, dashboarding, new business pitches, or commercial strategy is a plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Work Authorization: This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
