Job Description
Maven Clinic is seeking a visionary Senior Brand Designer to join our Brand Design team and lead the next evolution of our visual identity. You'll be the driving force behind elevating our brand identity, and setting a high standard for design excellence across all touchpoints (campaign, digital, video). As a Senior Brand Designer at Maven, you will:
Redefine and elevate Maven’s brand identity while building scalable systems that support growth across consumer and enterprise channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Evolution & Vision: Lead the strategic evolution of our brand identity, proactively identifying opportunities to refine and enhance our visual language. As well as champion a culture of design excellence, setting a high bar for visual execution and inspiring the team to push creative boundaries.
- Sophisticated Visual Systems: Build upon and refine our brand guidelines, establishing sophisticated and scalable visual systems that ensure consistency and impact across all project types. Maintain a comprehensive design system that empowers teams to execute brand assets with precision and efficiency.
- High Performing Design: Conceptualize and design visually stunning and high-converting materials across all digital channels, including paid social, display advertising, email marketing, web, landing pages, and video. Leverage data and insights to inform design decisions and optimize performance.
- Strategic Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative design process. Present creative concepts with clarity and conviction, effectively communicating design rationale.
- Brand Stewardship & Consistency: Uphold the highest standards of brand consistency across all projects, ensuring that every touchpoint reflects our brand vision and values.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of progressive visual design experience, with a proven track record of evolving and elevating brand identities.
- Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- A compelling portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of brand design, visual identity systems, and performance marketing, with a focus on digital experiences.
- Demonstrated understanding of brand strategy, digital marketing principles, website design best practices, and performance marketing metrics.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and adapting to evolving priorities.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an agency or growth-stage startup environment.
- Experience designing for health, tech, or wellness brands.
- Experience leading brand identity projects.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and AI design tools
The base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset.
Maven embraces a flexible hybrid work model. Our teams primarily operate from the New York Metropolitan area, NY, and remotely via San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C. For those in our New York City office, we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For those based in San Francisco/Bay Area, CA, Seattle, WA, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C., we encourage in-person collaboration by requiring team members to attend quarterly Work Together Days within these cities.
