You will be responsible for designing and maintaining production-grade services that support complex workflows, high traffic loads, and real-time data synchronization at scale. The position involves working across the full backend stack, from architecture design to debugging production issues that directly impact customer experience. You will play a key role in shaping technical direction, improving system reliability, and ensuring seamless integrations with external partners and services. This is a highly technical and impact-driven role where engineering excellence, scalability, and system design are central to success. You will collaborate closely with other engineers while also helping elevate coding standards, tooling, and backend best practices across the team. • Accountabilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable production backend services supporting high-traffic and real-time systems. Lead architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making for critical platform components. Debug and resolve complex production issues across services and multiple layers of the stack. Build and maintain secure, high-performance APIs with a strong focus on backward compatibility and reliability. Develop seamless integrations with external systems and partners to extend platform capabilities. Architect systems capable of handling large-scale data synchronization and auto-scaling workloads. Mentor and support other engineers by sharing best practices and raising overall engineering quality. Improve engineering standards, tooling, and development processes across the backend organization. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in backend or web application development in production environments. Strong expertise in modern backend systems, APIs, and relational databases. Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design principles. Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and modular code. Experience working on high-traffic or large-scale distributed systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with backend technologies such as Ruby on Rails is a strong plus. Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and containerization tools like Docker is a plus. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex system architectures. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional engineering teams. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from $170,000 to $195,000 USD depending on experience and location. Performance-based bonus eligibility of up to 30%.
