Overview: Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating month-end close, reconciling G/L accounts, preparing monthly and annual financial statements, tax, and other related accounting and tax matters. Supervise and delegate work to staff accountant(s). Assist in preparing financial statements, royalty, profitability, and performance analysis. We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Senior Accountant who thrives in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong U.S. GAAP fundamentals who enjoys improving processes, strengthening internal controls, and building scalable accounting systems. This is a hands-on role focused on operational excellence and infrastructure building.
  • Responsibilities: Month-End Close & General Ledger Execute and support the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Manage expense accruals and prepaid schedules Oversee fixed assets and lease accounting Maintain organized and audit-ready supporting documentation Financial Reporting & Analysis Assist with preparing monthly financial statements and internal reporting packages Provide variance analysis and clear explanations of financial results Support royalty, profitability, and performance analysis Assist with year-end financial statement preparation Systems & Process Improvement Serve as a primary user and administrator of QuickBooks (with potential future ERP transition support) Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and recommend improvements Develop and document standardized accounting procedures Strengthen internal controls and audit trails Support automation initiatives to reduce manual processes Contribute to building scalable accounting infrastructure to support company growth Revenue & SaaS Exposure Support revenue-related reconciliations Assist in applying and documenting revenue recognition policies Experience with SaaS or subscription-based revenue models (ASC 606 exposure preferred but not required) Tax & Compliance Support Assist in preparing annual corporate income tax schedules Support external audit and compliance efforts Maintain adherence to U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies Adhoc projects as needed
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent At least 2 - 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting Understanding of accounting principles , GAAP Proficient in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel Experience in QuickBooks or other major accounting system (e.g. NetSuite, Intacct) Team player with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in work. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve financial issues promptly Good follow up skills, detail oriented, and well organized. Audit experience desirable
