SAP ABAP Developer (PP/SD)
Annual Salary: 30-45k USD
Location: Offshore (Remote)
Start: Q2 2026
Project: ERP Optimization – Custom Code Reduction
Role Overview
We are seeking a strong SAP ABAP Developer with deep experience supporting PP and SD modules within a complex manufacturing SAP ECC environment. This role will focus on evaluation, remediation, and reduction of custom code as part of a broader ERP optimization initiative aligned to future ERP consolidation.
This is not greenfield development. This is cleanup, stabilization, and performance optimization inside a live environment.
Core Responsibilities
• Analyze existing custom ABAP objects across PP and SD
• Identify redundant or non standard customizations
• Refactor or eliminate custom code where possible
• Optimize performance of reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and conversions
• Work closely with functional PP and SD teams to validate business impact
• Support transport management and QA cycles
• Ensure alignment with SAP standard best practices
Required Experience
• 7 plus years SAP ABAP experience
• Strong hands on development in PP and SD modules
• Deep experience with custom code analysis and remediation
• Experience in manufacturing environments
• Enhancements, user exits, BADIs, BAPIs
• IDocs, Interfaces, ALV reports
• SmartForms or Adobe Forms
• Debugging complex production issues
Strongly Preferred
• S4 readiness or migration experience
• Experience reducing custom code footprint
• Performance tuning experience
• Experience working in global manufacturing environments
