Job Description
  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Training Specialist based in the United States. This role is an opportunity to shape how a high-performing sales organization learns, develops, and delivers results. You’ll own the sales onboarding experience while building training programs that connect product knowledge, sales methodology, and construction-industry expertise. The position combines instructional design, facilitation, coaching, content creation, and performance analytics. You’ll work directly with new and experienced sales representatives through training sessions, live call shadowing, and individualized feedback. Your programs will evolve continuously based on ramp time, quota attainment, assessment results, and learner feedback. Working cross-functionally with sales, product, and leadership teams, you’ll ensure training stays aligned with business priorities and market needs. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative environment for someone who enjoys turning complex information into practical skills that drive measurable sales performance.
  • Accountabilities: Own the end-to-end new-hire sales onboarding curriculum, covering product knowledge, sales methodology, systems and tools, company policies, construction-industry fundamentals, customer workflows, buyer personas, and project lifecycles. Design and produce engaging training content in multiple formats, including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, scripts, role-play exercises, job aids, facilitator guides, and assessments. Deliver training through classroom, virtual, and on-the-floor formats, adapting facilitation techniques to different experience levels, roles, and learning preferences. Shadow live sales calls and customer meetings to provide individualized coaching, practical feedback, and guidance on translating product capabilities into construction-specific business value. Develop ongoing education initiatives, including product-launch training, refresher courses, skill-building workshops, and programs that respond to changing products, messaging, and market conditions. Build and maintain a centralized library of training materials, playbooks, job aids, and assessments, ensuring content remains accurate, relevant, and up to date. Own training measurement and performance analysis by tracking trainee progress, ramp time, quota attainment, assessment outcomes, and other relevant metrics. Conduct structured 30-, 60-, and 90-day interviews with new representatives to identify curriculum gaps and evaluate how effectively training translates into real-world performance. Use performance and learner data to identify knowledge gaps, refine curriculum, and continuously improve training effectiveness. Partner with sales leadership, product teams, and education stakeholders to align training with revenue objectives, quota expectations, product developments, and construction-market trends. Monitor construction-industry developments, competitor offerings, and modern sales methodologies while building relationships with internal subject matter experts. Use approved AI-assisted tools to accelerate content development, assessment creation, video production, and documentation while reviewing all generated materials for accuracy and quality. Requirements: 4+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role with a demonstrated record of strong performance; SaaS sales experience is strongly preferred. At least 2 years of formal experience in training, instructional design, curriculum development, learning and development, sales enablement, or training-program management. Strong knowledge of or professional experience within the construction industry, such as construction sales, construction technology, or hands-on industry experience, is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to build training programs and content from the ground up, including presentations, e-learning, facilitator materials, training videos, and assessments. Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems such as Cornerstone, Docebo, Moodle, Absorb, or comparable platforms, including course creation, assignment, and reporting. Experience creating, editing, and producing training videos or other multimedia learning content. Ability to analyze training data, ramp metrics, assessment results, and sales-performance indicators and translate findings into meaningful curriculum improvements. Strong facilitation, presentation, and public-speaking skills, with the ability to engage learners across different experience levels and seniority. Proven coaching skills, combining patience and encouragement with the confidence to provide direct feedback and hold learners accountable to performance expectations. Ability to translate complex product functionality and construction-industry concepts into clear, practical, and immediately actionable sales training. Proficiency with tools such as PowerPoint, Canva, video-editing software, authoring tools, and LMS platforms. Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools and sound judgment when reviewing and validating AI-generated material. Excellent written communication, documentation, organizational, and process-building skills. Highly self-directed and comfortable owning programs from initial concept through implementation, measurement, and optimization. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience partnering with sales, product, and leadership teams. Bachelor’s degree in business, education, communications, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Benefits: Full-time, remote position available nationwide across the United States. Competitive compensation package. Travel of up to 30% may be required. Robust, low-cost benefits with coverage beginning on the first day of employment. Dependent Care benefits. 401(k) matching. Employee referral bonuses. Opportunities for professional growth, learning, and personal development. Opportunity to play a hands-on role in developing and strengthening a high-performing sales organization. Collaborative and dynamic work environment that values innovation, continuous learning, and diverse perspectives.
