Job Description
- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Compensation Analyst based in United States. This is a remote opportunity for a detail-oriented analyst to support the accurate administration of sales incentive programs within a fast-paced, global organization. You’ll work across FP&A, Sales, Finance, and Revenue Operations to ensure compensation data is accurate and payouts are executed on time. The role covers monthly and quarterly incentive calculations, reconciliations, reporting, and exception handling. You’ll also help maintain compensation systems, documentation, plan logic, and operational processes. As you grow, you’ll develop deep expertise in sales compensation plans, quotas, attainment, and the organization’s go-to-market structure. The role offers meaningful exposure to cross-functional stakeholders and opportunities to improve processes and build analytical expertise. It’s well suited to someone who combines strong attention to detail with a data-driven mindset, ownership, and a desire to grow.
- Accountabilities: Support end-to-end sales compensation administration, including monthly and quarterly incentive calculations, payout preparation, and true-up processing. Validate data from CRM and finance systems, reconcile results, and identify discrepancies before payout cycles. Support the administration and data management of sales compensation platforms, including data entry, testing, and issue escalation. Maintain accurate documentation covering compensation plans, calculation methodologies, processes, and standard operating procedures. Support audits and reconciliation activities to maintain data integrity, compliance, and adherence to compensation plans. Prepare recurring attainment, earnings, and compensation reports for Sales leadership and Finance stakeholders. Conduct ad hoc compensation analysis, scenario modeling, exception reviews, and related requests. Support bonus plan calculations outside of core sales incentives, including validation and audit checks. Review compensation data for inconsistencies and potential risks, escalating issues as appropriate. Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to compensation processes and workflows. Build increasing expertise in compensation concepts, plan mechanics, tools, quotas, and attainment while taking on additional responsibilities over time. Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, RevOps, and other stakeholders to resolve questions and deliver accurate results within established deadlines. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, with 2+ years of experience in finance, compensation, sales operations, or a closely related analytical field. Working knowledge of sales compensation administration, incentive structures, payout processes, and plan mechanics. Experience with sales compensation platforms such as Performio, Everstage, Spiff, CaptivateIQ, or similar tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including experience working with large datasets, reconciliations, and data validation. Strong attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented approach to analytical work. Ability to work with moderate autonomy on established processes while knowing when to seek guidance on new or complex assignments. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain findings to team-level and cross-functional stakeholders. Demonstrated growth mindset and willingness to continuously develop expertise in compensation concepts, systems, and processes. Data-driven approach with strong analytical judgment and a commitment to accuracy. Strong sense of ownership and urgency, with the ability to manage deadlines and deliver reliable results. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with Sales, Finance, RevOps, and other business partners. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with evolving priorities. Benefits: Remote-first work: Full-time remote work available within approved U.S. states, with hubs available for employees who prefer in-person collaboration. Competitive base salary: Approximately $74,000–$105,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and level, plus bonus eligibility. Equity: Full compensation package includes equity opportunities. Health benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage. Wellness support: Wellness-related benefits and additional perks designed to support employee well-being. Flexible work environment: Remote flexibility designed to support productivity and work-life balance. Team connection: Opportunities for in-person project meetings, regional gatherings, and company-wide events, generally at least once per quarter. Growth opportunities: Exposure to Sales, Finance, FP&A, and RevOps with opportunities to expand responsibilities and build specialized compensation expertise. Inclusive culture: Collaborative environment that values innovation, diverse perspectives, and professional development.
