At World Business Lenders (WBL), we're dedicated to offering flexible, short-term commercial loans secured by real estate, catering to a diverse clientele of small and medium-sized businesses across the United States that often find themselves sidelined by traditional financial avenues. Additionally, we manage our loan portfolio effectively, along with handling third-party loan pools, with a particular focus on non-performing loans and Real Estate Owned (REO) assets.
- WBL operates as a U.S.-based company with a fully remote team.
- This role is available as a Contract/Consultant position, providing you with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
- Our working hours are set from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
- Strong oral and written proficiency in the English language is a must for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze financial reports and statements on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Review financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness while adhering to accounting standards.
- Assist in creating financial forecasts, budgets, and analyzing variances.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and evaluate financial information.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies in financial reporting.
- Participate in additional projects and tasks as needed.
- Fluency in English is a must, along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area is required.
- A good grasp of K1 forms is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in State and Local Tax (SALT) is necessary.
- Experience with Sage GL and AP is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with IFRS and/or US GAAP accounting is important.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required; experience with Teams is a bonus.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key.
- A proactive mindset and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Great attention to detail.
