This role is ideal for a skilled backend-focused developer who enjoys building scalable, data-driven applications in a modern cloud environment. You will work on designing and developing robust backend services using Python and the Django framework. The position involves creating and maintaining RESTful APIs that seamlessly integrate with modern React-based frontends. You will contribute to cloud-native deployments and work extensively with Microsoft Azure services, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable application delivery. The role also includes working with relational databases like PostgreSQL to support reliable data storage and retrieval. You will be part of an agile, remote-friendly environment where collaboration, code quality, and continuous improvement are highly valued. This is a long-term 6+ month engagement with exposure to impactful, real-world engineering challenges.
• Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and the Django framework. Build and optimize RESTful APIs for integration with frontend applications. Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate React-based user interfaces. Work with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases for efficient data modeling and querying. Deploy, monitor, and manage applications using Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Networking, Managed Identity). Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup and support modern deployment practices. Contribute to analytics and data-driven application features and improvements. Requirements: Strong experience in Python development with deep expertise in the Django framework. Proven experience in building REST APIs and backend services. Good understanding of React integration with backend systems. Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud deployment concepts. Familiarity with Azure App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Networking basics, and Managed Identity. Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices. Exposure to analytics or data-driven application development is a plus.
