Product Design Lead, Consumer

We are hiring a hands-on Product Design Lead to own execution and design quality across:

• Mobile apps (iOS & Android)
• Web applications (wallet, exchange, onboarding, payments)
• Marketing website
• Blockchain Explorer experience

This is a player-coach role: you will personally design critical experiences while managing and mentoring an existing team of product designers.

You must bring deep crypto product experience and understand the unique UX challenges of wallets, trading, on-chain interactions, and self-custody.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Design Leadership

• Lead product design execution across all consumer surfaces
• Define and maintain a high bar for UX, visual quality, and interaction design
• Own design consistency across app, web apps, marketing site, and explorer
• Establish scalable design processes and rituals
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Marketing leadership

Hands-On Execution

• Personally design high-impact initiatives and critical user journeys
• Create flows, prototypes, and polished UI ready for production
• Improve onboarding, trading, payments, and portfolio experiences
• Drive simplification of complex crypto concepts into intuitive UX

Team Management

• Manage and mentor existing product designers
• Provide design critiques and career development guidance
• Help scale and structure the design organization
• Improve collaboration between design and engineering

Design Systems & Quality

• Evolve and enforce our design system across platforms
• Ensure design scalability across regions and product verticals
• Raise product craft and attention to detail across teams

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Required

• 7+ years in Product Design (consumer products)
• 2–3+ years leading or managing designers
• Direct crypto experience (required) — wallet, exchange, DeFi, explorer, or on-chain products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped consumer products
• Expert in mobile and web UX patterns
• Comfortable working hands-on in Figma
• Deep understanding of crypto UX challenges:
• self-custody
• transactions & signing
• trading UX
• blockchain data visualization
• trust & security design

Preferred

• Experience designing crypto wallets or exchanges
• Experience simplifying complex financial or technical systems
• Startup or high-growth environment experience
• Experience building or evolving design systems
