Responsibilities
- Manages a problem through its entire lifecycle-from initial identification and logging to resolution and closure
- Leads and coordinates root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, ensuring the right subject matter experts are engaged
- Confirms that all information entered into the problem management system is accurate, complete, and aligned with standards for assigned problems
- Acts as the primary point of contact for issues related to assigned problems, escalating concerns to leadership when necessary and keeping impacted users informed
- Regularly evaluates problems lacking a permanent fix and ensures that known errors are properly documented
- Serves as the gatekeeper for known errors within the assigned domain or functional area
- Identifies when new issues need to be raised and notifies the Problem Manager accordingly
Requirements
- Experience monitoring core KPIs and coaching problem owners toward successful outcomes
- Tool-agnostic mindset with the ability to learn new platforms quickly
- Exposure to Windows environments or similar technical ecosystems is preferred
