• Accountabilities: The Backend Developer will be responsible for analyzing, transforming, and improving existing backend solutions while supporting the evolution toward a microservices architecture. The role requires strong technical execution, attention to quality, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver reliable software solutions. Analyze existing Node.js source code and identify opportunities for transformation into Java-based microservices. Develop, maintain, and improve backend services using Java and microservices architecture principles. Refactor legacy solutions to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability. Build and maintain integrations with external systems through REST and GraphQL APIs. Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability. Collaborate with technical teams to design and implement effective backend solutions. Follow software engineering best practices, including clean code, documentation, and continuous improvement. Requirements: The ideal candidate has professional experience in backend development with Java, familiarity with modern API integrations, and the ability to work with distributed systems. A proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to technical improvements are essential for success in this role. 3+ years of professional experience with Java development. Experience working with Node.js codebases and backend system analysis. Knowledge of microservices architecture and backend development practices. Experience creating and maintaining unit tests using JUnit. Experience integrating systems through REST and GraphQL APIs. Familiarity with Apollo Client or similar GraphQL technologies. Ability to analyze existing code and contribute to modernization initiatives. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
