Job Description

The primary location for this role is remote in Washington state. Travel is estimated to be up to 10% and expected schedule requirements are Mon-Fri 8:00am - 05:00pm pm local time.

Imagine making a real impact in the lives of children with complex medical needs, helping them thrive safely at home, avoiding unnecessary hospital visits, and staying connected to the care they need most. At Imagine Pediatrics, we are reimagining pediatric care by combining innovation, technology, and a compassionate, team-based approach to support families when and where they need it.

As our first pediatrician in Washington, you will serve as the anchor physician for the state, helping lay the foundation for care delivery, team culture, and community presence. This is a unique opportunity to be both a clinical leader and a visible ambassador of Imagine Pediatrics' mission. In addition to delivering exceptional virtual-first care, a significant portion of this role will focus on external engagement, brand advocacy, and community outreach. You will build relationships with families, providers, and organizations that support our pediatric population.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage a panel of complex pediatric patients: Oversee care plans, collaborate with PCPs and specialists, and ensure comprehensive care coordination
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team: Partner with nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and social workers to provide wraparound care in a virtual-first model
  • Serve as the face of Imagine Pediatrics in Washington: Represent Imagine in external forums, engage with local medical communities, and advocate for value-based, home-centered care
  • Deliver high-quality virtual care: Conduct virtual enrollment visits, acute escalations, sick visits, post-hospital follow-ups, and in-home virtual assessments with support from our Mobile Integrated Care team (paramedics).
  • Ensure continuity of care: Bridge care gaps, coordinate prescriptions, and streamline referrals to remove barriers to timely treatment
  • Empower families: Support and educate caregivers as they navigate complex care needs and long-term health journeys
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring & How You Qualify

First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to creating the world our sickest children deserve. You want an active role in building a diverse and values-driven culture. Things change quickly in a startup environment; you accept that and are willing to pivot quickly on priorities. In this role, you will need:

  • You hold an unrestricted MD or DO with a Washington state license
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics and/or Internal Medicine-Pediatrics
  • Enrollment in Washington Medicaid required.
  • 5 years post residency experience
  • Experience managing children with medical complexity.
  • Focus on quality of care, population health and/or virtual care experience a plus.

What We Offer (Benefits + Perks)

The role offers a base salary range of  $210,000 - $225,000 in addition to annual bonus incentive, competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors including job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.

We provide these additional benefits and perks:

  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care FSA; Company-funded HSA
  • 401(k) with 4% match, vested 100% from day one
  • Employer-paid short and long-term disability
  • Life insurance at 1x annual salary
  • 20 days PTO + 10 Company Holidays & 2 Floating Holidays

  • Additional benefits to be detailed in offer
