Job Description
Job Title: Patient Coordinator
Location: South Africa, Remote
Work Type: Full-Time, US Hours (9am-5pm EST)
- Coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups effectively, ensuring timely communication.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and directing concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and insurance information.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care plans.
- Assist patients in navigating insurance processes and understanding their healthcare options.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or patient coordination is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and office software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
