This role supports a corporate legal function by handling a broad range of legal and administrative responsibilities that ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency. You will contribute to legal documentation, research, and corporate governance activities in a structured yet fast-paced environment. The position involves preparing and filing regulatory documents, maintaining corporate records, and supporting attorneys with contract review and legal drafting. You will also conduct legal research to support decision-making and ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations. This is a detail-oriented role that requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will work closely with legal and business stakeholders while gaining exposure to corporate, compliance, and governance matters. The environment is collaborative, professional, and guided by established legal standards and procedures.
- Accountabilities: Provide legal and administrative support across corporate governance, compliance, and contractual activities, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to regulatory standards. Prepare, file, and maintain legal and regulatory documents with government agencies such as Departments of Insurance and Secretaries of State. Maintain corporate books, records, and governance documentation in accordance with internal and legal requirements. Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, case law, and industry guidance to support legal and business decisions. Draft, review, and support the preparation of legal documents including contracts, agreements, bylaws, consents, and memoranda. Assist attorneys with reviewing agreements such as NDAs, amendments, and corporate contracts under supervision. Support compliance and corporate governance activities by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed. Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and prioritizing work effectively. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, paralegal studies degree, or paralegal certification is required. 1–3+ years of experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, or related legal support role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and legal research tools such as LexisNexis. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy. High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information. Preferred experience in corporate law, compliance, insurance, or healthcare-related legal environments (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid). Familiarity with corporate governance, contract review, and regulatory compliance processes is highly valued.
