Job Description
  • This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Outreach Program Coordinator based in the United States. This part-time role offers an opportunity to expand access to labor education, leadership development, and community programming across Pennsylvania. You will help strengthen relationships with workers, labor organizations, and other key stakeholders while increasing program reach and engagement. Working closely with faculty and support teams, you will coordinate events, communications, marketing, and outreach initiatives. The role combines independent ownership with collaborative work in a mission-driven educational environment. You will represent the program at local and regional events and help identify new opportunities for growth and impact. The position offers flexible scheduling of up to 24 hours per week, with hybrid or remote work options within Pennsylvania. Occasional travel and evening or weekend commitments will be required to support events and stakeholder engagement.
  • Accountabilities: Support faculty in identifying opportunities to expand program audiences, partnerships, and overall community impact. Build and maintain productive relationships with labor organizations, workers, community partners, and other stakeholders throughout Pennsylvania. Coordinate planning and execution of major educational and outreach events, including timelines, workflows, and coordination among faculty and support staff. Represent the program at local and regional events to promote educational offerings, services, and engagement opportunities. Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies for labor education programs and services. Coordinate communications across newsletters, websites, email, and social media channels. Respond to inquiries from stakeholders and prospective participants in a timely and professional manner. Manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating with colleagues and adjusting to changing program needs. Provide occasional evening and weekend support and travel within Pennsylvania as required by programming and events. Requirements: Demonstrated experience working with the Pennsylvania labor movement and familiarity with U.S. labor relations. Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, workflow management, and problem-solving. Excellent interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external audiences. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized, reliable workflows. Adaptability and resourcefulness, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and respond effectively in a changing environment. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, as well as Zoom and common digital communication tools. Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with faculty, support staff, and external partners. Willingness and availability to travel occasionally within Pennsylvania and work occasional evenings or weekends.
