This is a full-time position, meaning candidates should expect to work in office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. As a Network Engineer working within AWS Infrastructure you will be responsible for deploying network infrastructure across all of our network fabrics that supports the Amazon Retail Service, Kindle, Payments and multiple AWS services. You will work closely with our automation teams in defining the tools that allow us to scale at unprecedented volume. You’ll have the opportunity to deploy, scale and automate our network across multiple global datacenter, including existing footprints and greenfield locations. Key job responsibilities • Create simple, repetitive deployment processes that increase both velocity and quality. • Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards. • Work closely with our internal customers on designs/solutions; bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production.
Basic Qualifications
  • - Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications or related fields - Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols - Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting - Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF - Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos - Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment - Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash or PowerShell
