Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Armenian-speaking Medical Administrative Assistant / Surgery Scheduler to support a busy healthcare practice. This role will focus on coordinating patient appointments, managing surgical scheduling, and ensuring seamless pre- and post-operative care coordination. The ideal candidate has prior experience in surgery scheduling and a background in pain management or a related specialty is highly preferred. Training will be provided by the current team member to ensure a smooth transition.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, including consultations and follow-ups
  • Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring all requirements are met
  • Facilitate pre-operative and post-operative care coordination
  • Communicate effectively with patients and providers regarding procedures, instructions, and care plans
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and authorizations are completed prior to procedures
  • Provide patients with pre- and post-op instructions and support
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update scheduling systems as needed

  • Fluency in Armenian is required
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills is a must
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgery scheduling within a U.S.-based healthcare setting is required
  • Experience in pain management or a related specialty is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient coordination and service
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment

Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $7 – $8 per hour depending on skillset and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM PST.
