Job Description
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and coach a pod of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and Technical Program Managers (TPMs).
- Own the technical delivery and implementation timelines for multiple customer accounts. Ensure that customer objectives are accurately mapped to our platform’s capabilities.
- Understand implementation mechanics and configuration best practices. While you won't be writing production code daily, you will triage technical blockers and ensure your team is building sustainable, maintainable solutions rather than "one-off" hacks.
- Connect technical delivery outcomes to business milestones (e.g., ensuring successful UAT leads to Go-Live and subsequent billing cycles). Manage team capacity and utilization to maximize delivery impact.
- Serve as the "voice of the field" for Product and Engineering leaders. Document and communicate product gaps and improvements derived from real-world customer implementations to influence the core roadmap.
- Drive internal retrospectives and process improvements. Identify recurring pain points in the deployment playbook and own the creation of automation or documentation to eliminate them.
Who We Hope You Are:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience. You should be able to hold your own in a deep-dive technical design session regarding SaaS architecture, APIs, and data models.
- 6+ years of professional experience, with at least 1–2 years in a formal leadership or "player-coach" capacity within a SaaS delivery or FDE environment.
- Familiarity with the complexities of B2B SaaS implementations. Experience in fintech, insurance, or underwriting software is a significant plus, given the high stakes of data accuracy and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead high-stakes customer calls and set the tone in the room. You can translate complex technical risks into clear business outcomes for both internal and external executives.
- Comfortable with SQL and Javascript (as utilized in our implementation layer) to audit team output and shadow the FDEs as needed
- You don’t just identify blockers; you navigate around them. You have a track record of establishing strong working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams (Sales, CS, Product, and Core Eng).
$200,000 - $230,000 a year
Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above. Total compensation package does include stock options, benefits and additional perks.
