Job Description

Updated: 23 March 2026

Freelance | 8–20 hrs/week | Remote (EU/UK)

Are you an experienced M&A professional eager to apply your expertise in a cutting-edge, technology-driven context? Do you have 8 to 20 hours per week available alongside your current advisory or deal work?

We are seeking freelance M&A specialists/analysts based in the EU or UK to help advance the capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

What you’ll be doing

We are 10x.team, a platform for fractional and freelance professionals. We partner with top AI labs to refine and improve large-scale AI systems.

Your role is practical and impactful. You will:

  • Review and enhance AI-generated responses related to M&A processes and transactions

  • Assess outputs for technical accuracy, realistic deal mechanics, and industry alignment

  • Draft realistic M&A scenarios and use-cases, covering due diligence, deal structuring, valuation, negotiations, SPA provisions, regulatory review, and integration

  • Evaluate AI reasoning regarding regulatory compliance, strategic rationale, financial modeling, negotiation tactics, and cross-border considerations

  • Identify errors, unrealistic assumptions, and methodological gaps in M&A advice or scenario logic

  • Create scenario variations representing perspectives of different stakeholders — such as buyer, seller, advisor, or regulator

In simple terms: You will assess and improve AI-generated content to ensure it adheres to real-world standards and reasoning in M&A. Your contributions will shape the quality of AI advisory in M&A and related domains.

Who this is for

You are:

  • An M&A advisor, corporate finance professional, or lawyer

  • Based in the EU or UK

  • With several years (ideally 5+) of M&A transaction experience (advisory, due diligence, execution, or legal)

  • Familiar with common deal types (private/public M&A, cross-border, venture, PE), processes, and best practices

  • Comfortable identifying technical flaws, compliance risks, unrealistic assumptions, or analysis gaps

  • Available 8 to 20 hours per week

  • Able to start in the coming weeks

This is a fully remote, flexible opportunity — easily integrated with your current commitments.

Why join?

  • Flexible hours and fully remote setup

  • Apply your M&A expertise in AI development

  • Contribute to widely used AI products

  • Clear scope and structured onboarding

  • Potential for long-term collaboration based on performance

Screening process

Our process is straightforward and fully guided. After applying, you will complete:

  • A short AI-driven interview

  • A brief written evaluation focused on M&A reasoning and scenario structuring

  • A compliance check to verify your identity and professional background

After a successful selection and onboarding, you’ll be eligible to start on upcoming projects as they become available.
