About the Role
African Safari Group is seeking an experienced and highly driven Luxury Travel Consultant to join our fully remote team. This is a sales-focused role, selling directly to clients and converting high-value leads into unforgettable South African luxury travel experiences.
We are looking for someone who combines proven sales ability with intelligence, emotional intelligence, and administrative excellence. If you are a self-motivated, sharp, and organized professional with a hunger to excel, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings, managing the full sales process from enquiry to confirmation
- Design, quote, and manage luxury safari itineraries, with a focus on South African destinations
- Maintain accurate records of client communication, quotes, and bookings
- Manage multiple clients and bookings simultaneously while maintaining high-quality service
- Build strong relationships with clients, lodges, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve client experience and sales outcomes
Must-Have Requirements
- Established track record of sales (3–5 years) with a stable employment history
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Highly intelligent, switched-on, and able to multitask at a high level
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and strong interpersonal skills
- Hunger to succeed, self-motivated, and results-driven
- Confident in client-facing roles, including phone and email communication
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in travel, luxury tourism, or safari sales
- Knowledge of South African destinations, lodges, and travel logistics
- Personal travel experience or familiarity with high-end travel experiences
