Job Description
Job Title: Legal and Compliance Administrator
Job Type: Full-Time, Remote - South Africa
Working Hours: US Hours (9am–5pm EST)
Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure company operations comply with applicable U.S. laws and regulatory requirements.
- Review, draft, and maintain legal and compliance documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor changes in U.S. legislation and assess impact on business operations.
- Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential legal issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to legal standards and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and legal documentation.
- Support internal investigations and assist in resolving compliance-related concerns.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on legal and compliance matters.
- Assist in preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies where required.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of U.S. law and regulatory frameworks.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex documentation accurately.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles preferred.
- Familiarity with compliance tools, document management systems, or legal software is an advantage.
- Comfortable working remotely during U.S. business hours.
