Manta Support Specialist
The Role and Mission…
As a Manta Support Specialist, you’ll be the front line of communication for our users. You’ll help paid listings customers maximize the value of their services, and provide guidance to unpaid users navigating our business directory. This position is interacting with our English-speaking clients, so fluency in the English language is required.
Compensation: $USD 7.50 / hour. Payments are made monthly.
Hours: For optimal client interaction, this freelance role requires availability during Mountain Standard Time (MST) business hours. Specific work hours will be discussed further during the interview process.
Please note that the anticipated workload for this position is a part part-time role, up to 30 hours per week, with a standard 4-hour workday.
Tasks May Include...
- Provide email and phone support to paid listings customers, helping them manage, update, and optimize their profiles.
- Offer basic support to unpaid directory users, including login help, listing claims, and visibility questions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex cases to appropriate teams.
- Deliver clear, professional communication that reflects Manta’s brand values.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and follow-ups in our support system.
Equipment Requirements...
As a contract worker, you will be required to provide your own equipment, including:
- A laptop or computer.
- A headset.
- A reliable internet connection.
- The following applications, installed on your laptop or computer: Zoom, Gmail, Google Chrome, and Talkdesk.
Other Requirements...
- Fluent in English (C1/C2 level proficiency) and proficient in writing and grammar.
- Prior customer service experience either in-person or over the phone.
- Exceptional online communication skills.
- The ability to articulate thoughts clearly and effectively.
- Quick learning capability, adaptability, and flexibility.
- A high level of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
- Proficiency in Google Apps and Tools (IE: Gmail, Drive, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Deadline-oriented.

This is a contract position, so you will not be eligible for benefits.
You must be able to work independently and manage your own time.
You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the Philippines to be hired as a contractor in this role.
