Parity Homes is seeking a passionate and detail-driven Remote Grant Writer to join our mission-aligned team. In this role, you will research funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and secure resources that directly support our work transforming long-abandoned Baltimore rowhomes into pathways to wealth, stability, and community resilience.

Key Responsibilities
Research & Opportunity Identification
• Conduct thorough research to identify grant opportunities aligned with Parity Homes’ mission and housing programs.
• Stay informed on trends, best practices, and evolving strategies in the grant-funding landscape.
Proposal Development
• Collaborate with organizational leaders and program staff to understand funding needs and strategic priorities.
• Draft, edit, and prepare grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documents that clearly communicate our work, impact, and vision.
• Ensure all submissions meet funder guidelines, requirements, and deadlines.
Submission & Follow-up
• Manage the full grant submission process, ensuring timely and accurate application delivery.
• Maintain organized records of all grant activities, submissions, and funder communications.
• Follow up with funding agencies to track proposal progress and requests.
Grant Management & Reporting
• Assist with the administration of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with all terms and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and program teams to prepare financial statements, progress updates, and impact reports.
Relationship Building
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with funders, partners, and potential donors.
• Represent Parity Homes in meetings and communications with funding agencies.
Additional Responsibilities
• Support strategic planning to align grant-seeking efforts with organizational goals.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on grant-writing best practices.
• Perform other duties as needed to advance the mission.
Performance Expectations
• Research at least 5 grant opportunities per week.
• Prepare and submit 10 high-quality grant proposals per month.
• Complete timely and accurate reporting for all active grants.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a grant writer with a track record of successful awards.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with grant databases, online submission portals, and digital research tools.
• Understanding of the nonprofit sector and funding ecosystem.
Preferred Attributes
• Experience with grant administration and compliance reporting.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
