About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our growing engineering team as a technical leader and individual contributor. You will drive technical decisions, lead complex projects, and mentor junior and mid-level developers while building scalable web applications and cloud-based solutions using modern technologies. This role offers the opportunity to shape our technical architecture and engineering culture while delivering high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

Lead technical design and architecture decisions for complex, scalable systems
Drive engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes across the team
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and architectural approaches
Design and implement scalable web applications using modern .NET and Vue.js/React.js/Angular.js

Development & Delivery

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that serves as an example for the team
Lead complex technical projects from conception to delivery
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
Work with Azure to design, deploy and maintain scalable applications

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers
Lead code reviews and drive improvements to development standards and processes
Collaborate with engineering teams, product management, and design to implement technical solutions
Present technical solutions and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
Participate in hiring decisions and conduct technical interviews

Process & Quality

Lead implementation of automated testing strategies and CI/CD pipeline development
Drive technical discussions and facilitate architectural decision-making
Lead Agile/Scrum practices and contribute to sprint planning and estimation
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full software development lifecycle
Champion performance optimization and scalability considerations

Innovation & Growth

Stay current with emerging technologies and drive adoption of improvements to existing systems
Lead knowledge sharing initiatives and technical training within the team
Contribute to technical documentation and architecture decision records

Required Qualifications

Experience: 8+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrated technical leadership
Technical Expertise:

Expert-level proficiency in modern .NET web and API development
Strong experience with modern UI frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular)
Extensive experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
Advanced proficiency in database design and development (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Deep expertise in software architecture patterns and ability to design scalable, distributed systems
Experience building and maintaining a microservices architecture at scale
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Strong background in API design and development (REST, JSON, GraphQL)
Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development
Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code

Leadership & Collaboration:

Proven experience leading technical projects and cross-functional initiatives
Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers
Experience leading Agile/Scrum practices and technical ceremonies
Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to various audiences
Demonstrated ability to make technical decisions considering business impact

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of performance optimization and large-scale system troubleshooting
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Application Insights, Grafana, etc.)
- Deep understanding of security best practices and secure coding principles
Leadership & Experience:
- Experience with system design and capacity planning for high-traffic applications
- Experience in a startup or high-growth technology environment
- Contribution to open source projects or technical community involvement
- Experience with architecture documentation and technical decision records
- Background in performance engineering and scalability optimization
