• This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Engenheiro de Dados GCP Sênior based in Brazil. This role offers the opportunity to act as a technical reference in data engineering for a large insurance environment. You will design, develop, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines within Google Cloud Platform, contributing directly to data quality, availability, and governance. The position combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, architecture support, and close interaction with business and client stakeholders. You will work with technologies such as GCP, Airflow, Python, SQL, and Git while helping shape scalable and well-documented data solutions. A strong understanding of business requirements, particularly within the auto insurance claims domain, will be important for translating needs into effective data products. The role also provides opportunities to lead projects, share knowledge, and contribute to delivery quality across the team.
• Accountabilities: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve ETL/ELT data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, applying sound data engineering practices. Monitor data loads, pipeline performance, data quality, reliability, and availability to ensure consistent and trustworthy data delivery. Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow and support the governance of data pipelines throughout their lifecycle. Contribute to technical data architecture decisions, including relationships between tables and analytical data structures. Document pipelines, data models, entity-relationship diagrams, and technical processes while maintaining code versioning through Git and documentation platforms such as Confluence. Work directly with clients to understand requirements, negotiate scope and timelines, and communicate technical considerations and delivery expectations. Understand and apply business rules related to auto insurance claims when designing and developing data solutions. Represent technical coordination in technical and business forums, helping align engineering decisions with business objectives. Share technical and business knowledge with team members and contribute to the development of the team's capabilities. Provide technical leadership within the team, support project execution, and help ensure deadlines, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data engineering. Strong experience with SQL, including analytical queries and data modeling. Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience using Airflow to orchestrate data pipelines. Advanced knowledge of Python and solid programming logic. Experience with Git and software development version-control practices. Strong proficiency with Excel. Experience with data pipeline governance, including ETL/ELT development and load monitoring. Experience producing technical documentation, including entity-relationship models, code documentation, Git versioning, and Confluence-based documentation. Experience working with Jira. Strong analytical mindset, curiosity about data, and willingness to understand business processes and domain requirements. Effective communication, active listening, assertiveness, and ease in building relationships with clients and team members. Technical leadership capabilities, with a proactive, responsible, collaborative, and ownership-oriented approach. Google Cloud certification is a plus. Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus. Previous experience in the insurance sector, particularly insurance claims, is an advantage.
