Job Description
We are seeking a highly articulate, personable, and proactive Engagement Specialist to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for their health plan members, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador. Your goal is to foster deep relationships, drive participation in health programs, and ensure our members feel heard and valued.
This position requires a native level of English proficiency. While English as a second language is welcome, candidates must demonstrate a neutral, professional accent to ensure clear communication with our diverse member base.
Job Responsibilities
- Member Outreach & Relationship Building: Execute phone-based engagement strategies to increase member retention. You will build trust through regular, empathetic communication.
- Strategic Execution: Implement tailored engagement plans designed to improve member participation in health plan benefits and wellness initiatives.
- Feedback & Insight Gathering: Actively listen to members to identify pain points, gather feedback on services, and pinpoint opportunities to improve our provider network and care delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Clinical teams to ensure engagement strategies are aligned with broader company goals.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as a professional first point of contact to address member concerns, questions, or complex issues with speed and empathy.

- Interpersonal Skills: A natural ability to build rapport quickly over the phone and navigate sensitive conversations with patience and professionalism.
- No Industry Bias: Prior experience in the medical or healthcare industry is not required. We value your communication skills and ability to connect with people above all else; we will provide the necessary industry training.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to think on your feet and resolve member issues while maintaining a positive "can-do" attitude.
- Organizational Skills: Proficiency in managing outreach schedules and documenting member interactions accurately in a CRM or database.
Minimum Technical and Work Environment Requirements:
