Job Description
About the Role
We're hiring a Director of Product to lead the team behind our Enterprise Systems business unit, which owns two of our most critical surfaces: the member portal and our policy administration platform. Together, these systems power how our customers interact with their policies and how our business operates at scale.
You'll lead a team of product managers and partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, sales, marketing, and operations to build experiences that customers love and infrastructure the business can grow on. You'll set the strategy, shape the roadmap, and drive execution from zero-to-one launches through long-term platform investments.
This is a high-ownership role for a builder. We're looking for someone with a track record of shipping and scaling product at a leading consumer technology company, thinks rigorously about users and data, and operates with urgency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set the vision. Define a clear medium- and long-term strategy for the member portal and policy administration platform, grounded in customer insight and business goals.
- Own the roadmap. Build a data-informed roadmap that balances new product bets, platform investments, and continuous optimization — and deliver against it.
- Lead cross-functionally. Partner with engineering, design, analytics, marketing, sales, and operations to ship end-to-end experiences that move the business.
- Drive execution. Stay close to the work. Lead product development from ideation through launch and impact measurement, removing friction wherever it appears.
- Build a strong experimentation culture. Establish a rigorous testing cadence that combines incremental optimization with bigger bets, and instill best practices for measurement.
- Scale the platform. Work with sales, operations, and policy admin teams to set clear goals for performance, reliability, and user experience — solving with both technology and process.
- Build the team. Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of product managers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 8+ years in product management, including time at a top internet or consumer technology company where you've shipped and scaled products with significant user impact.
- 2+ years managing product managers in a high-growth environment, with a track record of hiring and developing strong talent.
- Experience owning a consumer or business product with measurable growth outcomes — usage, retention, revenue, or all three.
- Strong analytical instincts. You're fluent in data, set sharp success metrics, and make decisions based on evidence.
- Excellent product judgment and taste. You have a point of view on where the product is going and what "great" looks like.
- Technical and design fluency strong enough to be a real partner to engineers and designers — not just a stakeholder.
- An owner's mindset. You move fast, run toward hard problems, and hold a high bar for impact.
- Strong cross-functional leadership. You build trust quickly, drive alignment, and make decisions when consensus isn't possible.
- Experience with client portals, policy administration systems, or other complex enterprise platforms preferred.
- Background in insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries where compliance and trust matter preferred.
