Job Description
We are seeking a Head of Marketing Data Science to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of marketing analytics and data science at Flex.
As the Director of Marketing Data Science, you will lead a high-impact team of data scientists and analysts responsible for driving advanced analytics, experimentation, and machine learning solutions across lifecycle marketing, performance marketing, and growth initiatives. You will serve as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership and marketing stakeholders, shaping acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization strategies through rigorous, data-driven insights.
In this role, you will oversee initiatives spanning marketing experimentation and incrementality testing, attribution and measurement frameworks, predictive customer and revenue modeling, and optimization of channel performance and lifecycle programs. You will bring deep technical expertise and strong people leadership, guiding the team through complex, high-impact problems at the intersection of marketing strategy, business outcomes, and scalable data science.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end marketing measurement across the customer lifecycle, performance marketing, and growth channels.
- Design and evolve attribution and incrementality frameworks to drive efficient budget allocation and strategic decisions.
- Define and maintain core marketing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting that enable clarity, accountability, and action.
- Drive the evolution from descriptive analytics to predictive and prescriptive data science, including models for LTV, CAC, churn, and forecasting.
- Apply machine learning approaches to improve targeting, personalization, bidding, and lifecycle optimization.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing data science team, establishing best practices and technical rigor.
- Act as a strategic partner to Marketing, Growth, Product, Finance, and executive leadership, clearly communicating insights and influencing investment decisions.
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied statistics, with significant focus on marketing and growth.
- Deep expertise in lifecycle analytics, performance marketing measurement, and attribution methodologies.
- Strong foundation in data modeling, SQL, and analytics workflows, with hands-on experience scaling data systems.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring data science or analytics teams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data insights into clear business impact and executive-level recommendations.
Preferred
- Experience with machine learning models applied to marketing (e.g., LTV prediction, churn, targeting, optimization).
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms, marketing tech stacks, and modern data warehouses.
- Background in fintech, consumer tech, or high-growth digital businesses.
- Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing company-level strategy.
