This leadership role is designed for an experienced healthcare professional passionate about improving patient outcomes and advancing innovative medical technologies. The position will lead a regional clinical excellence organization, driving customer success, operational excellence, and adoption of transformative healthcare solutions. You will build strong partnerships with healthcare providers, commercial teams, and internal stakeholders to support long-term growth strategies. The role combines clinical expertise, business leadership, and relationship management to enhance care delivery and customer satisfaction. You will develop scalable processes, coach high-performing teams, and translate clinical insights into measurable business impact. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will help shape the future of advanced healthcare solutions while empowering teams and customers.
- Accountabilities: The Director, Clinical Excellence will provide strategic leadership to regional clinical teams while ensuring customer success, operational alignment, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong collaboration across commercial, clinical, marketing, service, and operational teams to drive adoption and maximize the impact of innovative healthcare solutions. Lead and develop a regional team of clinical excellence managers, providing coaching, mentorship, performance guidance, and career development support. Partner with sales teams to support new customer opportunities, expansion initiatives, and long-term account growth strategies. Participate in sales processes by contributing clinical expertise, customer insights, and solution-based recommendations. Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, professional organizations, and key customer stakeholders. Ensure consistent execution of customer business reviews, success plans, and clinical improvement initiatives. Develop and implement clinical strategies that expand utilization and improve customer outcomes. Support training programs to ensure teams and customers are effectively adopting healthcare technologies and solutions. Drive process improvements, quality initiatives, and best practices across clinical operations. Act as a key escalation point for customer issues, providing strategic solutions and ensuring successful resolution. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align priorities, track performance metrics, and support organizational objectives. Manage vendor relationships and external partnerships that contribute to strategic initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, quality standards, and operational requirements. Support the development of policies, procedures, and programs that promote high-quality patient care. Travel extensively, up to 75%, to support customers, teams, and business initiatives. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a strategic healthcare leader with strong clinical expertise, business acumen, and experience managing teams in complex healthcare environments. The successful candidate will combine leadership capabilities with a passion for improving care delivery through technology and innovation. Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field required. Registered Nurse (RN) certification required. Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred. 5+ years of nursing leadership experience within healthcare, medical devices, or related industries. Experience leading teams, developing talent, and driving organizational change. Strong understanding of healthcare compliance regulations, accreditation processes, and quality improvement methodologies. Experience developing business plans, ROI analyses, and strategic action plans. Ability to interpret data and analytics to identify opportunities and drive measurable improvements. Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and results-oriented mindset. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with executives, healthcare providers, and internal teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives. Proficiency with standard business applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness and ability to travel extensively. Preferred experience includes medical device environments, dialysis or healthcare technology solutions, and senior nursing leadership roles. Preferred certifications include healthcare leadership, quality, or clinical excellence credentials such as CNE, NEA-BC, CPHQ, CNL, CMSRN, or CCRN.
