- We are seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to support our Financial Operations (FinOps) and Finance as a Service (FAAS) initiative. This role provides comprehensive legal oversight across our financial services verticals through Amazon Digital Services Private Limited, while managing our unique financial technology infrastructure in India. The ideal candidate will combine financial regulatory expertise with strong technology sector understanding, demonstrating ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while supporting business growth objectives. Key job responsibilities Financial Operations: - Lead legal compliance for finance and accounting service offerings - Manage regulatory requirements for financial service providers - Oversee compliance with data protection and security regulations - Structure legal frameworks for new financial initiatives - Maintain ongoing compliance and regulatory reporting FAAS and Technology: - Drive legal oversight for India's unique marketplace model of financial tools and services - Ensure compliance with independence requirements for third-party service providers - Adapt worldwide policies to India's marketplace model - Review and structure service provider agreements - Support FinOps teams on compliance and efficiency initiatives Impact & Scope: - Support multiple L8 leaders and numerous L7 business leaders - Drive critical regulatory relationships - Manage complex financial compliance frameworks - Lead financial technology infrastructure compliance initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- - 7+ years of legal experience - 7+ years of commercial agreements experience - Law degree from recognized institution; Bar admission required - 7-14 years of legal experience in financial services/technology sectors - Proven expertise in regulatory compliance and policy advocacy - Excellence in stakeholder management - Experience in e-commerce or financial technology preferred
