Job Description
We are growing the Accounting division of our Finance team. We are looking for a Financial Controller, based in London, who is looking to roll up their sleeves to help build the accounting infrastructure and processes that will support growth in a fast, yet controlled manner. Reporting to and working with the Global Group Controller, this person is comfortable and confident in a high growth company where structure, procedures, and policy are in development, familiar with a fast pace, and is able to prioritize in building a scalable, efficient
This position is in London and requires the individual to be in the office 4 days a week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Oversee month-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Oversee bank account and cryptocurrency wallet reconciliations.
- Providing month-end reporting support.
- Prepare general ledger account analysis.
- Manage the month end close process.
- Maintain P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, identify and research any large variances.
- Lead year-end audit work for entities under purview.
- Assist with establishing internal controls procedures and processes.
- Familiarity with audit procedures, including PBC list preparation and coordination.
- Coordinate and lead annual statutory audits in accordance with local GAAP, providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Expertise in managing external audits and working with auditors.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 6-10+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance
- A combination of “Big 4” public accounting and corporate industry experience is strongly preferred.
- CPA / ACA/ ACCA Qualified
- Preference for prior experience in crypto, fintech, or start-up environments
- A high level of experience working in a similar or relevant role.
- Experience with international accounting (United States, United Kingdom and EU is a plus).
- Experience working with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Strong presentation and communication skills when working with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and execute quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment with ever-changing and competing demands.
- Preferred knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
