This role will lead strategic relationships with benefits consultants who influence employer healthcare and benefits decisions. You will use your industry expertise and established network to expand market visibility and create new employer partnership opportunities. The position combines relationship management, business development, strategic positioning, and market intelligence. You will work closely with sales and internal stakeholders to strengthen positioning across RFIs, RFPs, and emerging opportunities. Success in this role requires credibility with senior consulting leaders and the ability to communicate complex solutions with clarity and impact. You will also help shape go-to-market strategy by bringing consultant feedback, competitive insights, and industry trends to internal leadership. - Accountabilities Build and maintain strategic relationships with key contacts and senior leaders across major employee benefits consulting organizations. Leverage an established consultant network to increase awareness, strengthen market positioning, and generate new employer partnership opportunities. Position products, capabilities, clinical solutions, and differentiated approaches to maximize inclusion in employer opportunities, RFIs, and RFPs. Partner closely with sales teams to coordinate proposal responses, opportunity discovery, and strategic engagement with consultants and prospective employers. Represent the organization at national conferences, industry events, and client-consultant meetings, serving as a knowledgeable and credible industry representative. Monitor benefits industry trends, competitor activity, consultant perspectives, and market developments, translating insights into actionable recommendations for internal leadership. Communicate complex concepts and differentiated solutions in a clear, compelling, and accessible manner to consultants, clients, and senior stakeholders. Support broader growth initiatives by identifying emerging market opportunities and strengthening relationships across the employer benefits ecosystem. Requirements At least 5 years of relevant experience in employer benefits, consultant relations, or a closely related field. Established relationships and a strong professional network across leading benefits consulting organizations, with the credibility to serve as a trusted and knowledgeable resource. Demonstrated understanding of the employer benefits landscape and the factors influencing healthcare and benefits purchasing decisions. Exceptional presentation, public speaking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, particularly when engaging senior consultants and decision-makers. Ability to collaborate effectively with sales and cross-functional teams while managing multiple strategic priorities. Strong business judgment, market awareness, and ability to turn external feedback and industry developments into actionable insights. Bachelor's degree preferred. Willingness to travel for conferences, industry events, and client or consultant meetings, with travel of up to 30%. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, ideally from a major city in the eastern half of the United States. Benefits Base annual salary of $150,000–$170,000 USD.
