Make a meaningful impact on climate action and ecosystem restoration by supporting innovative conservation initiatives focused on large-scale carbon projects in the Cerrado. As a Conservation Practitioner, you will contribute to the planning and implementation of ecological restoration programs that combine science, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable land management. Working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners, you will help strengthen biodiversity, support local communities, and advance climate resilience through nature-based solutions.   • Accountabilities: Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of multiple conservation and ecological restoration projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines. Contribute to the design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of carbon restoration initiatives aimed at restoring degraded landscapes and mitigating climate change. Engage with landowners, local communities, government agencies, academic institutions, Indigenous Peoples, private sector organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration and conservation outcomes. Assist in biodiversity monitoring, restoration performance assessments, and the evaluation of environmental indicators to support evidence-based decision-making. Compile, analyze, and validate environmental, technical, and project data, preparing reports and identifying opportunities for improvement. Support financial, procurement, logistics, and administrative activities related to conservation projects. Contribute to the development of institutional partnerships and financing mechanisms that promote carbon projects and equitable benefit sharing. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, ethical standards, legal requirements, and data confidentiality while maintaining accurate project documentation. Participate in field activities and travel to remote locations as required to support project implementation and stakeholder engagement. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Forestry, Agronomy, Geography, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in natural resource management, conservation, carbon projects, ecological restoration, or a similar area. Experience supporting carbon projects across planning, stakeholder engagement, implementation, monitoring, and reporting phases. Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with government agencies, researchers, private organizations, communities, and other external stakeholders. Experience conducting research, analyzing technical information, and preparing clear reports and recommendations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and general digital productivity tools. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines. Knowledge of environmental planning, climate adaptation, climate justice, biodiversity conservation, and ecological restoration principles. Familiarity with remote sensing tools, GIS technologies, or coding is considered an advantage. Experience delivering training or capacity-building activities is a plus. Postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline are desirable. Intermediate English proficiency is preferred, with strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese.
