Establish supplier performance expectations and metrics, driving accountability, continuous improvement, and strong long-term supplier relationships. Partner with engineering, operations, finance, and other cross-functional teams to align commodity strategies with broader business objectives. Identify opportunities to improve sourcing efficiency, mitigate supply risks, and deliver measurable value across cost, quality, and availability. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, category management, or a similar procurement function within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a commodity or category and deliver measurable results across cost, quality, and supply continuity. Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with excellent problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making capabilities. Proven experience working collaboratively with engineering teams, manufacturing stakeholders, and external suppliers. Strong negotiation skills, with practical expertise in cost analysis, market intelligence, supplier evaluation, and commercial strategy. Ability to translate technical requirements into effective sourcing strategies and influence stakeholders across functions. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish productive partnerships with suppliers and internal teams. Experience with metal and/or hardware component categories is a plus. Comfortable taking ownership, challenging existing approaches, and identifying innovative solutions in a collaborative environment. Benefits Opportunity to lead strategic commodity initiatives with direct impact on cost, supply continuity, quality, and business performance. Collaborative and innovative working environment that values diverse perspectives and cross-functional teamwork. Opportunity to work closely with engineering, operations, finance, and strategic supplier partners. Professional environment focused on learning, development, ownership, and continuous improvement. Culture centered on safety, integrity, collaboration, accountability, innovation, and inclusion. Equal employment opportunity environment committed to mutual respect, empathy, and belonging.
